Myopathie atypique : bilan au 19 décembre 2014

Au 19 décembre 2014, 27 suspicions de Myopathie Atypique ont été déclarés au RESPE par les vétérinaires sentinelles : 5 cas dans le Calvados (14), 2 cas dans les Côtes-d’Armor (22), 1 cas dans le Finistère (29), 5 cas dans la Manche (50), 1 cas dans la Marne (51),1 cas en Meurthe-et-Moselle (54), 2 cas dans l’Oise (60), 4 cas dans l’Orne (61), 1 cas dans le Pas-de-Calais (62), 1 cas dans le Bas-Rhin (67), 3 cas en Seine Maritime (76) et 1 cas en Seine-et-Marne (77).

Due to the great number cases communicated this year to the Atypical Myopathy Alert Group (AMAG) in UK (n = 97) and Ireland (n = 28), the University of Liege together with The Irish Equine Center and The Animal Health Trust is conducting a new research study investigating the geographical distribution and clinical particularities of this condition in UK and Ireland.

Deadline for 2014 cases is 15th January 2015, your help is mandatory to understand the particularities and distribution of this disease in Ireland and UK, helping to improve the poor prognosis that this condition.
